Emily described Wollongong as having a "massive vegan population" with a growing number of vegan activists. I asked some of them why they became vegan, their experience of vegan activism and if they think veganism is growing in the Illawarra. They are all a part of the Illawarra chapter of the Cube of Truth, but have been involved in a number of other demonstrations. ​
